Welcome to

St. Peters Day Nursery & Timbers Nursery School

Where play shapes powerful learners

Carol Sneath - Senior Manager & Director

With over 35 years of experience in Early Years education, I have dedicated my career to providing exceptional care, education and leadership for young children and their families. For the past 22 years I have owned and managed Timbers Nursery School, alongside 8 years at St. Peters Day Nursery, building both settings around high-quality, inclusive and child-centred practice.

I began my Early Years journey at 16 years old, completing the prestigious two-year NNED qualification before progressing into senior leadership roles. Early in my career I played a key role in establishing and managing a 100-place day nursery, successfully leading the setting for 10 years before relocating to Hampshire.

Passionate about continual professional development, I completed an Early Years Foundation Degree through the University of Winchester before achieving a BA in Early Years through The Open University. My commitment to excellence extends beyond my own two settings, as I am currently undertaking a second year as a Lead Foundation Stage Practitioner (LFSP), where I support, mentor and share my extensive knowledge and expertise with other Early Years settings and professionals.

I place paramount importance on nurturing a deep understanding of child development and creating environments where children, families and practitioners thrive.

Our Approach

At both of our settings we intend to create a nurturing and inclusive environment. Where all children feel safe, valued and confident - developing the foundations for lifelong learning, wellbeing and success. We aim to support all families, creating a home away from home.

Curriculum

Our curriculums are not static. They are continually developed through a responsive curriculum cycle that is rooted in knowing our children, their families and their prior experiences.
